Wedding photography of tipi festival wedding on coast of Cornwall

India & Harry’s tipi wedding in Polzeath, Cornwall

Photography and video highlights of India and Harry’s festival style summer tipi wedding in Cornwall. St Enodoc Church for the ceremony & Greenaway Field for the tipi wedding reception and sundowner party on the coast.

India and Harry stumbled upon Lauren and Mike’s wedding I photographed at the same church and field which made their mind up as the perfect location for their tipi wedding in Cornwall.

As a Cornwall wedding photographer, it’s always a privilege to capture weddings that reflect a couple’s personality and love of place, and this day was no exception.

St Enodoc Church offers something truly unique, nestled amongst the sand dunes overlooking the Camel Estuary with its crooked spire, the church is 12th century and was buried by sand for 300 years. With stunning sea views across Daymer Bay, it’s no wonder couples are drawn to this magical spot to say their vows. The walk across St Enodoc golf course to the church alone builds a sense of anticipation in it’s unique setting. Light streamed through the ancient windows as India and Harry exchanged vows in front of all their closest family and friends.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way along the coastal path to Greenaway Field for the reception —an idyllic clifftop field location offering panoramic sea views over Polzeath Bay. Here a beautiful boho-style tipi setup awaited, complete with rustic wooden tables, festoon lighting and wildflower arrangements that echoed the natural beauty of the Cornish landscape.

The wedding reception had a festival vibe, fun relaxed celebrations, amazing food and drink and saxaphonist Daniel Costin provided the soundtrack to the evening party as the sun went down and set over the sea directly in front of the tipi. In over 450 weddings I’ve captured in Cornwall, Devon, Italy and France, I find this location special and hard to beat as a backdrop.

From the quiet intimacy of St Enodoc Church to the joyful revelry at Greenaway Field, this was a wedding that celebrated not only love, but also place - and the wild, romantic spirit of Cornwall itself.
