How would you describe your wedding photography style?

My style is very relaxed, natural, storytelling style and photographing unobtrusively leaving you and your guests to get down to the business of really enjoying your wedding day and I'll capture it all as it happens. I don’t ‘setup’ any shots or put you into uncomfortable poses; I capture the real-life true moments of your day, observing and capturing moments as they happen creatively, naturally and unobtrusively.  Along with the people that make the day special, I love to photograph the little details that tell the whole story including the mood/atmosphere, the flowers, letters, notes and gifts, the food and drinks, the shoes, the dress, the suits, the entertainment, the wedding tables and so on.

What do you like most about photographing weddings?

Being part of something so happy and unique and photographing the rollercoaster of emotions and moments that play out in front of my eyes on a wedding day is always special, as are the kind words I receive from couples once they've received their wedding photographs.

What is your favourite wedding location in Cornwall to photograph?

Here in Cornwall we're blessed with countless amazing opportunities for beautiful photographs on beaches or in the countryside, I really couldn't give my favourite Cornwall wedding location or venue as there are so many to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice. You'll see on my journal shire to shore some of the venues in Cornwall I've photographed weddings including Nancarrow Farm, Trevenna Barns, Port Eliot House and Prussia Cove to name just a few.

Are you flexible on hours?

10-12 hours is a full day and 5 hours is half day photography. Having said that I like to be flexible and I can start and finish to suit your day. Some couples may wish for wedding photography coverage that is more than a day or isn't quite a full day, but a half day maybe too little...this is absolutely fine and we can come to an arrangement to tailor photography that works perfect for your wedding.

Do you take group photos?
Yes I do take group photos if you would like them but suggest these are kept to the minimum. If you want a few group shots such as the bridal party, a photo with everyone and maybe one or two with parents then I'm your man.  Couples who book me generally want me there to watch and capture what I see throughout the day, photographing it all naturally without influencing or setting the moments up. I firmly believe unposed natural photos make the best wedding photos.

I always photograph wedding groups and these can be fun, classic posed, whatever floats your boat :)

How and when will we receive our wedding photos?

I aim to get your edited images online within 1 month and delivered to you within 6 weeks. All your wedding photos will be uploaded to a online gallery. Also you will have all the photos on a wooden USB stick. All photos will be full resolution highest quality JPEGs, watermark free and all individually edited in my own signature style and you are free to use your photographs as you wish.

Can you help us create a wedding album?

A wedding album is not included in my package because these days it's so incredibly easy to make a wedding album yourself online and make it personal to you. I can make recommendations for the best online wedding albums that you can create yourself or if you need any help then of course I'd be only happy to help.

Do you photograph weddings outside of Cornwall?

90% of weddings I photograph are here in Cornwall but I'm happy to travel so if you're located further afield from Cornwall then I'd love to chat to you about your wedding plans.

Perks of being a wedding photographer in beautiful Cornwall - never get tired of the scenery whether on the coast or in the country.

Your style is unposed - but what about group/family shots?

Group/family photos are the only photos on the day that will require a certain amount of posing and looking into the camera. They don't need to take long if they're well organised so before the wedding day I make sure there's a list of family/group photographs you want and tick them off on the day.

How should we be/act in front of the camera?

Simply be yourselves. If you’re shy, be shy. If you can’t stop laughing, just laugh. I want to capture the real you, real moments, real emotions so just relax, enjoy and just ignore me; the best wedding photographs very rarely have anyone looking at the camera.

Just be yourselves!

How many photographs will I get?

With the full day coverage you will receive 700+ high resolution digital photographs which are individually edited in the style that you see on my website. With the half day coverage you will receive 350+ high resolution digital photographs, again each photograph edited in my documentary style.

Do you offer a pre-wedding shoot?

I'm happy to offer a pre-wedding shoot within 25 miles radius of Falmouth. Outside this distance I add-on travel expense. A pre-shoot is a great opportunity to get to know each other before the big day, get used to me and be relaxed and natural in front of the camera. You also get to keep the edited photos of the two of you ; )

Can you recommend a wedding videographer?

Yes I've worked with a handful of awesome wedding videographers here in Cornwall that compliment my natural style of photography that I can put you in touch with if you're interested in having both photography and video.

Are you insured?

Wedding photography is an enormous responsibility and one I take very seriously. I'm fully insured with public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.

When do you require payment?

A 25% deposit books me as your wedding photographer. The remaining balance will then be payable 30 days before your wedding day.
