The location in Cornwall of your family photography session is up to you or I can provide ideas. It can take place somewhere you love, the beach, your own home or perhaps a holiday home your staying at in Cornwall. As you can imagine, most family photography sessions I capture in Cornwall are on a beach - perfect for families, dogs etc.
If you’re stuck for ideas or not familiar with Cornwall, i’m happy to recommend locations for family photography. As a Cornwall photographer I've been all over the South West so I know the best locations for relaxed, fun and natural family photography.
Not only do I know the best locations in Cornwall but I know the best times of day for family photography. Whether it's golden hour shortly before sunset to soft morning light, we can work out the best time for your family photography.

My family photography style is very relaxed and candid/natural. Scenery plays an important part in my photography whether it’s coastal or countryside, Cornwall is blessed with stunning beaches, coastlines and woods.
Be yourselves and have fun as a family - that’s when the real magic happens and where the best images are captured.
I may see opportunities especially with natural light or scenery where I’ll recommend we make the most of, but apart from that, go have fun together and leave the rest to me.
I always include some relaxed group photos of you all together because these are the photos we always struggle to get ourselves if you’re anything like my family - one of you is always missing behind the camera, and selfies on a mobile phone just don’t cut it!

Do not worry if you're camera shy, most of us feel this way when a camera is pointed at us. As someone who is camera shy too, my family photography is very relaxed and candid and is all about capturing natural moments together, personalities…ignore me and the camera.
Run around on a beach, play games, have fun together without any awkward looking into the camera photos (you may want some group photos which i’m happy to capture).
The real magic happens when you're interacting naturally, the laughs, hugs, little moments of connection, I love to capture this and the different personalities, images that evoke emotions when you look back at them.
So please don't worry about being picture perfect or feeling awkward, have fun and embrace time with your family and trust me to capture all those beautiful moments.

With two boys myself, I know how quickly children grow up and change, we really treasure our family photos taken by a photographer friend in Cornwall when our boys were little. It’s one the main reasons why I started family photography alongside weddings as I know these special images will be treasured by you, your future self will thank you : )

The majority of family photography sessions in Cornwall take around 1 hour unless there are multiple locations involved but I'm happy to tailor photography for you.

1 hour family photography by me - 1 hour is my most popular session unless different locations in Cornwall are involved.
Extended hours available on request.Receive a minimum of 50 full resolution images, all curated and hand-edited in my signature style and made available in a professional website gallery. Example family galleries are available upon request.
From the website gallery you can share all the photos with the rest of your family, download photos in full resolution, no watermarks - they’re your photos to do as you wish.
Various print options available from the website gallery including prints, wall framed and albums.
All travel included within 25 miles of Falmouth - this includes some of my favourite spots including Gwithian, Crantock and Holywell Bay. Further afield mileage is charged.

how it works?
Simply get in touch with me, check my availability and chat about your family photography. To book me as your family photographer in Cornwall I require full payment. Full refund given if you decide to cancel for whatever reason. On the day of the photography, we meet at an agreed time and location in Cornwall. The edited images from the session are uploaded to a password protected website gallery where you can share with all your family, view and download images along with various print options.
